Meet Drs. Michael and Monique Adkins, O.D
Drs. Michael and Monique met and fell in love while attending optometry school at Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. After working in other doctor's practices in and around Huntington, WV for the first few years out of school, they felt ready to take on the challenge of running a practice by themselves. They were blessed by God to be able to move to Lewisburg and purchase the Ferrell Eye Clinic in 1996. As the practice has grown over the last 17 years, so has their family- and the family of three that moved to Lewisburg is now a family of nine! Dr. Monique's time is now mostly spent homeschooling their seven children and helping manage the office while Dr. Michael is mostly responsible for patient care and the day to day operations of the clinic. He truly loves his job and feels like it is his calling life, so he tries to pass on some of that joy and love with each patient encounter.
The Drs. Adkins work hard to stay current on the latest advances in eye health and vision care and they regularly attend continuing education seminars and advanced training courses. It is because of their dedication to continuing education that our patients receive the most modern and progressive vision care available. Each year, a concerted effort is made to reinvest some of the profit of the clinic back into the office by purchasing some of the most advanced diagnostic technology available.
